Heron Island Hotel & Travel Guide\n
At present, Travelocity's extensive Australia hotels portal doesn't contain a single option in the vicinity of greater Heron Island.
An easy 100 miles (164 kilometers) from Heron Island is Bundaberg which is home to a few accommodation options, like the Manta Bargara Resort and Platinum Bargara Apartments.
Once you've seen Heron Island, set out to uncover the other cultural and scenic attractions of the Capricorn Coast area. Admire Capricorn Coast's beaches, coastal plains and streams. On top of that, head to the area's history museums. Locals and visitors alike in this corner of Australia love cycling.
50 miles (81 kilometers) away from Heron Island, you can reach Gladstone, which is where you'll find Gladstone Marina and Gladstone Art Gallery and Museum. The Rydges Gladstone and Mercure Gladstone are just a handful of the Travelocity-listed long and short-stay choices in Gladstone. 55 miles (87 kilometers) to the south of Heron Island, you'll reach Agnes Water, home to the Mango Tree Motel and Loka Santi. If you're staying in Agnes Water, make your way to the Agnes Water Beach and Agnes Water Museum and Visitor Centre.
For those travelers planning on flying via Gladstone Airport, you can book a Travelocity-listed room at Harbour Sails Motor Inn, or Harbour City Motel, which are both a short drive away.

Same breakfast everyday is $35pp. Cafe style coffee for 2 $15, didn't have lunch. Dinner for 2 with 2 drinks and 1 dessert around $100. Diving and snorkelling was great. 1 dive $150pp & $50 for snorkelling from a boat. Free at high tide unless you hire snorkelling equipment. Dive & snorkelling shop is very well organised and equipped. The corals are slowly recovering from bleaching event in 2024 but sealife is outstanding. Staff are very helpful and friendly."
